What Is a Mobile Wallet?

A mobile wallet is a form of wireless payment technology provided by your mobile device’s provider or third-party application. This technology allows you to conveniently store your Citizens Savings Bank debit card information securely and digitally on your smartphone or other mobile device.

What Is a mobile payment?

Mobile Payment lets customers make card payments at retail and online checkouts using a mobile device instead of having a physical card present.

Can I add more than one Citizens Savings Bank debit card to my mobile wallet?

Yes. You can add multiple payment cards, such as credit cards to your mobile wallet.

Will I earn my rewards when making mobile wallet purchases

instead of using my actual debit card?

Yes. You will earn rewards just as if you were using your physical Citizens Savings Bank debit card.

How does mobile wallet keep my financial information secure?

When you add a card to a Mobile Payment, the Mobile Payment provider does not store your actual card number. Instead, a unique digital account number, or token, is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in your mobile device. The unique account number is never stored on the Mobile Payment provider’s servers. When you make a purchase using mobile wallet, the digital account number and a transaction-specific dynamic security code are used to process the payment. Your actual card number is never shared by the Mobile Payment provide, with merchants or transmitted with payment.

How will my mobile transactions appear on my monthly statement?

Mobile wallet transactions will appear the same way as transactions made with your physical card.

What if I receive a new Citizens Savings Bank debit card after adding my original debit card to my Mobile Wallet?

You can delete your old card from your device and add the replacement card. This will create a new device account number. View the instructions from your mobile payment provider for assistance with replacing your card.

What if I get a new mobile device?

Your card will not be transferred automatically when you purchase a new mobile device. You will need to set up the Mobile Payment software again and add your card to the new device.

If I erase my phone, will it affect my physical debit card?

Erasing the information on your phone will have no effect on your physical cards. However, this will delete the virtual cards from the Mobile Payment software, and you will need to add your cards back into your mobile wallet.
